Jemma

After leaving college with an MAAT qualification in Accountancy, Jemma quickly found herself in demand. She joined her parents’ successful double‑glazing business as Office Manager — a role that was both fast‑paced and highly pressured.

 

When the business was eventually sold, giving her parents the chance to step back from the demands of running a company, Jemma moved into a new challenge within the legal sector.

 

She spent the next two years working for a local firm of solicitors as assistant to the Financial Director, gaining valuable experience in finance, operations, and the day‑to‑day realities of a professional services environment.

 

It was during this time that she met her future husband, Tom, and his family — all experienced agents — who quickly recognised her natural ability for organisation, communication, and commercial thinking. They encouraged her to take the leap into self‑employment, and she hasn’t looked back since.

 

At just 23, Jemma founded JLB Agencies, beginning her journey as an independent sales agent covering the North West — a region she continues to represent with exceptional consistency and commitment.
